Folklore Museum of Mykonos
The Mykonos Folklore Museum is located in the Kastro area, housed in a building said to be the oldest on the island, dating back to the Byzantine era; its current form was completed in the 18th century. Established by Vassilios Kyriazopoulos in 1958, the Folklore Museum comprises of six halls, and its exhibits are divided into two categories: Greek folk items and imported items that landed on the island through shipping routes during the 18th and 19th century. The exhibits include furniture, dishes, jewelry, woven cloths, books, old newspapers, aquarelles, as well as spaces replicating old fashioned homes.
